We’re an Australian brand, making exquisite, unique, personalized wedding and event stationery, crafted from cotton, utilizing the most eco-conscious methods.
History
Kattoné was established in 2015, by Katie and Paul, based on an idea sketched on a napkin.
The initial six years were dedicated to constructing the business from a diminutive inner city Melbourne residence. With the growth in demand for Kattoné’s creations, additional space became imperative, prompting a relocation to a townhouse where the making of the paper for Kattoné’s event stationery commenced.
The surge in worldwide demand for artisanal paper and occasion stationery led to a relocation, in 2024, to expanded facilities in the sunlit city of Perth, situated in Western Australia. Presently, sustainable solar energy and pristine water sources are employed in the crafting of paper, free from toxic substances, using unadulterated cotton, while the temperate Mediterranean climate facilitates the natural sun-drying of the paper.
With the expansion of our business, we introduced new products and team members. Today, we craft our own luxurious wax and seals, exquisite ribbons, and an extensive selection of exclusive, texture-rich, handmade colored papers, exuding a captivating natural aesthetic.
Since 2024, we have attracted the attention of enterprises seeking eco-friendly solutions for their event stationery, a burgeoning trend.
Meet Katie - The Founder
Katie grew up in Eastern Europe. From humble beginnings, in a small village, she relocated to a house her parents had built themselves in a small town. She always had a passion for design but that had to wait. Katie relocated to the capital, Chisinau, to study IT at university. On graduation with a masters degree, she worked initially in the IT sector, before moving to Turkey and later Australia, after she met her husband, Paul.
Katie’s marriage of design flair and passion for creating exquisite handmade stationary with Kattoné was complemented by Paul’s adept business acumen. He oversaw accounts and backroom operations, allowing Katie to focus solely on design and customer interactions.
